Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has introduced a new and exclusive line of therapies at many of its luxury hotel spas worldwide. Entitled “A Taste of Traditions”, the therapies call on ancient techniques from the most influential cultures around the world.
Mandarin Oriental has chosen to work with Comfort Zone, the highly respected manufacturer of result-oriented spa products. The award-winning hotel group’s oriental heritage and unique spa philosophy combined with Comfort Zone’s luxurious ingredients and expertise, have resulted in the creation of a range of exceptional spa treatments designed to improve the spa-goer’s well-being. “We want to take our guests on an inspiring journey of self discovery,” said Ingo Schweder, Group Director of Spa. “We have therefore chosen partners that support and enhance our holistic spa philosophy in order to create treatments that are unique to The Spas at Mandarin Oriental.” he added.
A Taste of Traditions comprises five individual body treatments and three facials that have been designed to take guests on an exceptional journey of relaxation and rejuvenation. The treatments are now available at Mandarin Oriental hotels in Miami, Washington, DC, New York, Bermuda, London and Macau plus Mandarin Oriental’s newest spas at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo.
Body Treatments
Orient
(Ingredients- Vanilla, jasmine, ylang ylang)
Honouring the ancient elements of Chinese massage therapy, known as Tui Na, this treatment opens and stimulates the meridians of the body to increase the flow of energy and replenish vitality. The overall effect is mood-enhancing, soothing and de-stressing.
Mediterranean
(Ingredients- Oregano, basil, lemon, anise, orange, mandarin)
Reflecting the energetic spirit and warmth of the Mediterranean, this treatment is enhanced with fluid movements that feel like the dance of waves over the body. It is ideal for destressing, toning, uplifting and revitalising both body and mind.
India
(Ingredients- Patchouli, cardamom, nutmeg, bergamot)
Brisk, energetic strokes begin this mind, body and soul embrace. Energy balancing completes this authentic and dynamic experience that vibrates with the essence of India. It will relax, detoxify and elevate the spirit.
Arabia
(Ingredients- Eleni, ginger, cinnamon, amyris, vetiver)
Calming and soothing movements that are reminiscent of the whispers of the dunes, serve to reassure the senses. This regenerating treatment is best for strengthening and invigorating the body and spirit.
Elements
This is a fusion of the Orient, Mediterranean, India and Arabia that takes guests on a journey through civilizations., and combines the best of all the Taste of Traditions into one.
Facials
Guests can choose from the Awaken, Calm or Illuminate facial. Each treatment utilizes Comfort Zone’s unique products and is designed to either firm and plump the skin, soothe and protect or brighten the complexion.
