Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, part of one of the fastest growing hospitality companies in the world, announces that it will soon open another hotel in Poland – Radisson SAS Hotel, Poznan. The group already operates four Radisson SAS hotels in Poland in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow and Szczecin, and Gdansk, which is also scheduled to open its doors in mid-2007. The deal further signifies the group’s persistent growth strategy to develop the Eastern European, Russian and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) markets, in the upcoming years.

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Poznan will consist of 250 stylish guestrooms designed in the accustomed motifs combined with comfort and elegance that Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts are known for. The hotel also features two exclusive food & beverage outlets with international and local cuisine. The hotel is targeted mainly for the business travellers and will offer ample conference and meeting facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, the hotel will also propose a wellness area including fitness facilities, and underground parking.

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Poznan will be built on the site of the Carmelite. The owners, Avila Management & Consulting GmbH, will develop this project according to the Catholic Church and the Carmelites agree, so that it features some of that building's architecture in its overall complex. The hotel will be situated in walking distance of the shopping areas, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, museums, etc., and all modes of transport.

Poznan is one of the richest cities in historic monuments in Poland – in numbers and in value – and boasts examples of all architectural periods, i.e. from the Romanesque to the eclectic to the modernist. It is a city surrounded by churches, cobbles and colourful burgher houses and is a major cultural and economic centre.

The newly built Radisson SAS Hotel, Poznan, is scheduled to open in late 2007.
