Communications Campaign for Omni Fort Worth Hotel Opening Awarded Esteemed Honor
Omni Hotels & Resorts was honored last week with a Stevie Award® by the American Business Awards(SM). The Stevie Award, one of the world's most prestigious business awards, recognizes companies for outstanding contributions and achievements. This year's ceremony took place in New York, hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network.
Three different Omni campaigns were finalists for an award - two in the same category. The luxury hotel brand was recognized for creating the Best Communications or PR Campaign of the Year in the Consumer Services Category. The winning campaign produced an outstanding grand opening for the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, which opened in January of 2009. Throughout the 2009 campaign, Omni generated a large amount of media attention through creative tactics such as a Fort Worth-focused dinner that served up an authentic "cowboys and culture" to attending media in New York City, an opening ceremony with a Western belt buckle instead of the traditional ribbon and a grand opening gala with local dignitaries, business leaders and other key influencers. Success from the program and other efforts earned Omni recognition in local, regional and national media.
"We knew that the best way to attract attention for the new Omni Fort Worth Hotel would be through showcasing its warm, genuine Texas hospitality," said Caryn Kboudi, vice president of corporate communications for Omni Hotels & Resort. "It is an honor that the same relentless commitment to hospitality we show our guests was recognized by the American Business Awards with a Stevie Award."
The American Business Awards are governed by a board of distinguished judges and advisers that features many of the leading figures in American business. Entries are judged through an extensive judging process lead by more than 200 qualified executives from across the country. This year's contest attracted more than 2,700 entries from virtually every industry.
