THE AMERICAS

Rob Katz has been named Chief Executive Officer of Vail Resorts replacing Adam Aron. Katz, 39, held key positions in the past with Apollo Management and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Meanwhile at Vail Resorts' subsidiary Rockresorts, President (and Cornell graduate) Ed Mace has resigned, and former Vice President of Operations William Hall has been promoted to Vice President of Lodging, Vail Resorts.

Steve Giblin has been promoted from President to Chief Operating Officer of Dolce International. Prior to joining Dolce, Giblin served five years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Newmarket International and was previously with Omni.

Greg Wolkom has been appointed Chief Financial Officer by Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants. An investment banker, he is a specialist of mergers and acquisitions, a skill he honed as Managing Director of Global Finance and Head of the Lodging and Leisure group for Banc of America.

The Global Hotel Alliance has appointed Chris Hartley as Chief Executive officer. He is a former Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing of Kempinski and will oversee the addition of Omni Hotels to the already existing alliance partnership of Kempinski, Pan Pacific and Rydges.

Kemp Gallineau, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando. He replaces John Caparella who was named Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Gaylord Hotels. Gallineau joined Gaylord Entertainment in 2001 as a member of the opening team for the Gaylord Palms, serving as Vice President and Hotel Manager.

Stephen Ottman has been named President of the Starr Restaurant Organization in Philadelphia. He comes from the Smith and Wollensky Restaurant Group where he was the Chief Operating Officer. He also served Rich Melman's Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chef Executive Officer.


Debra Bates will serve as Chief Investment Officer in addition to her previous title as Chief Financial Officer at Dolce International. She previously held Chief Financial Officer positions in two real estate companies in Houston and served as a financial consultant and co-founder of Parkstone Financial.

Michael Billiel has been appointed Director of Corporate Services for the Picerne Group in San Juan Capistrano, following a sixteen-year career with Four Seasons. He was most recently the Director of Human Resources, Residence Clubs, for the group, based in Carlsbad.

Robert Todak is the new General Manager at the Hard Rock San Diego. Todak comes from the Royal Palms in Miami and was previously the General Manager at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. He is known in the industry for his five-year tenure at the helm of Miami's Delano.

Michael Taylor has been appointed General Manager at the Heldrich in New Jersey due to open March 2007. He was most recently the General Manager of the North Maple Inn.

David Horowitz has transferred as General Manager to the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza from the Hyatt Regency Crystal City where he held the same title.

Foster Burnett has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton New York Times Square. He comes from the Swissôtel The Drake where he was the Resident Manager, after serving as General Manager of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel and Conference Center.

San Antonio's La Mansion del Rio Hotel and Watermark Hotel and Spa have become Omni Hotels with Rusty Wallace as General Manager of both. Wallace was most recently the General Manager of the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas in Dallas. In San Antonio, he takes over from Michael Bazar.

Marc Fournier has been named General Manager for the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village. Fournier was most recently the Acting General Manager and Director of Operations for the Harrison Conference Center and Hotel in New Jersey.

The Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center has appointed Jeff Peller as General Manager. Peller was most recently the General Manager of the Schaumburg Marriott.

Andrew Schiavone is the new General Manager for the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center in Virginia. Schiavone was most recently the General Manager at the Radisson Barcelo Hotel in Orlando.

James Lobosco has been named General Manager at the Madison in Washington DC, a property managed by Loews as of April 1. Lobosco was most recently the General Manager of the Loews Philadelphia. The top spot at the Madison had been vacant since Axel Suray left in October 2005.

Daniel Ilias has been named General Manager at the King Pacific Lodge in Canada. He was previously with Celebrity Cruises most recently as Hotel Director.

Terri Ryan has been appointed General Manager at the Melrose Washington, DC. She was the General Manager at the Holiday Inn on the Hill and previously at the Radisson Barcelo Washington.

Pascal Forotti is transferring as Hotel Manager from the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta to the InterContinental Chicago. He is replacing Robert Hill who has been promoted to General Manager of the Stephen F. Austin InterContinental. Forotti's career with InterContinental also took him to Washington DC, Amsterdam, London and Luxembourg.

Mark Boullion has joined San francisco's Hotel Rex as Assistant General Manager. He was most recently the Food and Beverage Director at the Bishop's Lodge & Resort in Santa Fe and previously held various food and beverage management positions at Meadowood, Raffles L'Ermitage and the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco.

Adam Shindler has joined WHM Management as a Senior Financial Analyst. Shindler, a Cornell graduate, was most recently the Restaurant Manager at Vix in the newly opened Hotel Victor in South Beach. Before joining Hotel Victor, he was an analyst for KPMG in Chicago.

Karsten Lemke has joined Las Brisas in Ixtapa as Executive Assistant Manager. He was previously the General Manager of the Avandaro Golf and Spa Resort for the West Paces Hotel Group.

Mark Weiss has been promoted to Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for Ritz-Carlton Hotels replacing Christoph Zbinden who joined Mandarin Oriental in the same capacity. Weiss comes from the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay where he was the Executive Assistant Manager Director of Food and Beverage since 2001.

Steve del Rosario has joined the Morgans Hotel Group as Director of Finance at Mondrian. He previously was the Vice President Finance – Americas Region for Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts, following a ten-year career with Marriott.

Romeo Santos has joined Blackstone's Carmel Valley Ranch as Financial Controller. He comes from the Lodge at Rancho Mirage, a Rockresort.

Garrett Ronan has joined the Beverly Hilton as Director of Food and Beverage. He previously held the same position at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Ronan is also a former Assistant Director of Food and Beverage from the Waldorf=Astoria.

Bernd Maier has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at the Daytona Beach Hilton. He has been with Hilton since 1997 in various food and beverage management positions in Atlanta and at the Fontainebleau Hilton and Towers in Miami, where he was the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.

Sammy Afif is the new Director of Food and Beverage at the Millenium Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles. Afif was most recently in the same position at the Estancia La Jolla for Destination Hotels and Resorts and the Roosevelt.

Fabien Rivière will be joining the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas as Food and Beverage Manager. Rivière was most recently the Dining Room Manager at Auréole Las Vegas. He also toiled at Alizé at the Palms Casino Resort, the Mansion at the MGM Grand, as well as at the Pierre and Restaurant Daniel in New York. He started his career at the Ritz Paris.

The Fairmont Olympic has appointed Burhan Cülcüloglu as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously been directing various banquet and food and beverage operations at the Fairmont Orchid, the Fairmont Kansas City and the Fairmont Chicago.

Thomas Humphrey has been appointed Director of Restaurant Operations for the Hotel Bel-Air. He comes from the Four Seasons Atlanta where he held a similar position.

Bill Matthews has joined Wolfgang Puck Catering as Vice President Operations. Matthews was most recently the Director of Operations at Okura Restaurants in Palm Springs, following a stint as President of Las Casuelas, also in Palm Springs.

Jumeirah has appointed Tom Civitano as Vice President Sales & Marketing, Americas. Civitano was formerly the Executive Vice President of Marketing for the now-shuttered Plaza.

Chad Waetzig has been named Senior Vice President of Marketing for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. He is a former marketing executive with Marriott and Procter & Gamble.

Richard Lofria has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Millennium Bostonian Hotel. He joins from the Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel in Boston where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Krisam Group has appointed Debra Edwards as Director of Sales to open Krisam's new Atlanta sales office and Yolanda Hormozi as Director of Sales to open Krisam's new sales office in Southern California. Edwards has been with Monumental Meetings - Business Development Division since 2003 and Hormozi was most recently the National Sales Manager at the Balboa Bay Club & Resort.

Ed Svitak has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Marriott Chicago Midway Airport. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the Riviera Resort & Racquet Club in Palm Springs.

Adeana Shendal has joined the Four Seasons Las Vegas as Director of Public Relations. Shendal has previously worked with Wynn Las Vegas, Harrah's Entertainment and Kirvin Doak Communications.

Michelle Devine has joined the Island Hotel in Newport Beach as Director of Group Sales. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for Pelican Hill and Oak Creek golf properties and has previously been in sales at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa.

Julie Browe Mathews is the new Director of Transient Sales at the Island Hotel. She was most recently a Regional Sales Manager for Leading Hotels of the World and has previously been a Catering Manager for Patina Catering. She also held sales positions at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Ritz-Carlton Marina Del Rey.

The Fairmont Chicago has named Jeff Baryenbruch Director of Sales. He previously served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Omni Ambassador East Hotel following ten years with Wyndham.

Troy Pade has been named Regional Director of Sales for the Oceana Hotel Group in Santa Monica. Pade was most recently an Associate Director of Sales at the Hollywood Roosevelt.

Inge Spindola joins Millennium Hotels and Resorts as Global Director Group and Incentive Sales for their corporate division based in Chicago. She was most recently at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina as Account Director and previously with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in various sales positions.

Lourdes Munoz has joined the Millennium Biltmore as Executive Meeting Manager. She was most recently at the Wilshire Grand.

Steven Rice has joined the Hotel Bel-Air as Executive Director of Catering. Rice was most recently in a similar position at the Pierre in New York. He also served as Director of Catering at the Waldorf=Astoria and at the Four Seasons Washington DC.

Executive Chef Azmin Ghahreman will be leaving the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa to open his own restaurant in Laguna Beach as well as an adjoining gourmet market. Ghahreman was with the St. Regis for five years after leaving the Regent Sydney. He spent eight years with Four Seasons in Kuala Lumpur, Kona, Istanbul, Singapore and Maui.

Drew Deckman has joined Raffles L'Ermitage as Executive Chef. He was most recently actor Tom Cruise's private chef. Deckman also ran the kitchens of Orient-Express' Maroma Resort and Spa in Mexico. Prior to that, he was with Four Seasons, joining the company as Chef de Cuisine at the former Four Seasons Berlin.

William Koval has joined Culinaire International as Corporate Executive Chef, based in Dallas. Koval was most recently the Executive Chef at Joule in Dallas, following many years in the same capacity at the Adolphus.



Executive Chef Dean Fearing has resigned from the Mansion on Turtle Creek after twenty one years. He will be the operator of the restaurant at the future Ritz-Carlton Dallas.

Anthony Keene has joined Casa Marina as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position at Little Palm Island Spa and Resort also in Florida. Keene also served as Executive Chef at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

The music has stopped and all the chefs have settled into their new chairs over at Edward Thomas Hospitality. Michael Reardon, who opened the Hotel Andalucia in Santa Barbara for the group, has checked in at Casa del Mar in Santa Monica as Executive Chef, while next door at Shutters on the Beach, Andry Tscharner, formerly of the nearby Fairmont Miramar, now oversees the property's One Pico, Pedals, Lobby Lounge, and banquets. Finally, Fermin Arias, the One Pico chef since March of 2005, heads north to lead the culinary brigade at Hotel Andalucia.

Beirne Brown has returned home to his restaurant Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar in Naples, Florida. A Cornell graduate, he was most recently the Food and Beverage Manager on The World, the globe's only residence ship.

Lewis Butler has joined Wolfgang Puck Catering as Executive Chef. Butler was most recently the Executive Chef at the Rancho Bernardo Inn following many years with Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, Atlanta and Vancouver.

John Beardsley is the new Executive Chef at (415) Asian Restaurant and Lounge in San Francisco. Beardsley was previously the Executive Chef at Azie, Le Colonial and most recently Sydney's, all in San Francisco.

Eric Branger has transferred as Executive Chef from the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans to the Ritz-Carlton New York at Central Park South. Branger has been with the company since 1994.

George Mahaffey has joined the Hotel Jerome in Aspen as Executive Chef, following a stint as Culinary Director at San Ysidro Ranch. He previously founded Restaurant Solutions Company consulting for former employers the Little Nell and the Hotel Bel-Air.

Philippe Roussel is the new Executive Chef at Café d'Alsace in New York. He was most recently the Chef Owner at Gavroche also in New York.

Keith Falco joins the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder as Executive Chef. Falco was most recently with Lifestyles Catering.

Troy Thompson is the new Executive Chef at David Burke Las Vegas opening in the Venetian in August. Thompson comes from the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey where he served as Executive Chef.

Yves Samake has been transferred to the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta as Executive Chef replacing Eric Damidot. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. David Serus replaces Samake in Half Moon Bay as Executive Sous Chef, formerly the Senior Sous Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Penha Longa in Portugal.

Aaron Zimmer has been named Chef de Cuisine at Navio at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay replacing Peter Rudolph who went to Campton Place. Zimmer was most recently Sous Chef at CityZen at the Mandarin Oriental Washington DC.

Mel Mecinas has been promoted to the Four Seasons Scottsdale as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. He has also been with the Four Seasons Santa Barbara and the Patina Group.

Patrick Duff has joined the Four Seasons Miami as Executive Chef replacing Marco Bax who has transferred as Executive Chef to the Four Seasons Canary Wharf in London. Duff was most recently at the Sukhothai in Bangkok and has previously been the Executive Chef at the Phoenician and the InterContinental Hong Kong.

Steve Millan has been appointed Director of Operations at Japonais, soon-to-open in New York City. Millan has been with B.R. Guest Restaurants since 2000 at the Atlantic Grill, Fiamma Osteria, Blue Water Grill and Ruby Foo's. He also spent time in the kitchen at Le Cirque 2000 for two years.

Dwayne Collins has been named General Manager of Dune at the Ocean Club working for Jean George Vongerichten for the third time. Collins was most recently overseeing BLT Fish and was previously at 66 NYC, Artisanal, AZ and Mercer Kitchen.

Robert Windhausen has been named Manager of Wildflowers at Turning Stone Resort and Casino. Windhausen was most recently the Senior Banquet Manager for the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and has previously worked at the New York Marriott East Side, Waldorf=Astoria, the Bull and Bear Steakhouse, and the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa in Indian Wells.

Sabato Sagaria is the new Wine Director at the Inn at Little Washington. Sagaria, a Cornell graduate, had been with the Greenbrier since 1997 in various food and beverage positions most recently as the Director of Beverages/Sommelier.

Sommelier Michael Shearin is departing the MGM's Craftsteak to serve as part of the opening team at the upcoming Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesar's Palace.

Sherry Lurie has joined the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino as Director of Housekeeping. Lurie was most recently in the same position at the Greenbrier and previously served as Director of Quality at the Boca Raton Resort and Club and Director of Housekeeping at the Breakers.

Gioanna Villabrille was been named Director of Housekeeping at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. She was most recently the Executive Housekeeper at the Hotel Sonnenalp in Vail.


EUROPE

René Lasserre, the founder of what used to be one of Paris most famous restaurants (it still has two Michelin stars) died at age 93. Like his recently-retired contemporary Claude Terrail of La Tour d'Argent, Lasserre was strictly a front-of-the-house man, who had never been a Chef, but knew where to find the best ones.

Kempinski announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, Simon Coombs, who will also hold the position of Executive Vice President. He replaces Heidi Niedermeier. For the past sixteen years, Coombs had worked for Hyatt in various positions, most recently as Vice President Finance for the Asia Pacific region.

Starwood has appointed Carson Booth as Vice President, Information Technology Europe, Africa, Middle East. He joined Starwood in 1996 as Integrated Property System Project Manager and was most recently the Director of IT Europe, based in Brussels.

Michel Miserez has been named Regional Vice President Finance, Continental Europe for Marriott International. Miserez was most recently regional for Marriott in Asia.

Lionel Alvarez has joined the Hotel Son Vida in Palma de Mallorca as General Manager. He was previously the General Manager at Paraiso de la Bonita Resort and Thalasso, the Hotel Bora Bora, the Hotel Beau Rivage in Mauritius, and the Plantation Club Resort and Casino in the Seychelles.

Clifford Grauers becomes the General Manager of London's Great Eastern Hotel (now a Hyatt property). He was formerly the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Birmingham.

Gabriele Galieni has been named General Manager at the Grand Hotel Rimini, following three years at the Hotel Principe di Savoia as Executive Assistant Manager.

Marjan Sabetian has accepted the position of Director of Sales/Marketing at the Jacques-Garcia-designed Fouquet's Barrière hotel slated to open in October in Paris. Sabetian has previously spent time in sales at the Four Seasons George Cinq and in public relations at the Regent Beverly Wilshire.

The Grosvenor House JW Marriott in London has named Leonard Mok Director of Housekeeping. Mok was most recently the Executive Housekeeper at the Hotel Lisboa in Macau and previously served as Assistant Director of Rooms at the Empire Hotel & Country Club in Brunei.

Girly Fedilo will be transferred to the Trader Vic's Berlin as General Manager. Fedilo was most recently in the same position at Trader Vic's at the Hilton London Park Lane.

Yannick Decelle is now the Chef/Owner of Le Temps d'un Instant in Lyon, France. He was most recently the Chef de Cuisine at La Mère Brazier also in Lyon. He has previously been in the kitchens at Villa Gallici in Aix en Provence, the Royal Club Evian, Restaurant Léon de Lyon and L'Alexandrin.


ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Wouter Hazenbroek has been promoted to General Manager of the Amari Boulevard in Bangkok, from Resident Manager at the Amari Airport also in Bangkok.

The Hilton Chongqing has appointed Sven Isberg General Manager. A twenty-year Hilton International veteran, he was most recently the General Manager at the Parmelia Hilton Perth.

Sergio Bretti has been named General Manager for the Swiss-Belhotel on the Park in Wuhan. He was previously a Director of Food and Beverage with Nikko, Sofitel, Crowne Plaza and Westin.

Christopher Oakes will assume the role of Director Development for Six Senses Resorts & Spas based in Bangkok. He was most recently an Area General Manager for the Evason Hideaway at Hua Hin and the Evason Hua Hin Resort.

Pieter van der Hoeven has assumed the role of General Manager of both Evason Hua Hin Resort and Evason Hideaway at Hua Hin. He joined the Evason brand in 2004 as Manager of the Evason Hua Hin Resort. He had joined from Hua Hin's Anantara Resort following stints at the Peninsula Bangkok and the Peninsula Hong Kong.

Paul Snow has assumed the role of Resort Manager at the Evason Hua Hin Resort & Six Senses Spa, a change from his former role of Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for both Evason Resort and Evason Hideaway at Hua Hin.

Jean-Claude Erne, a graduate of the Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne, has been promoted at the Ascott Group to Senior Vice President Product and Operation based in Singapore. He was most recently the group's Managing Director, Europe. He previously served as the General Manager of the Hotel Mulia in Jakarta, following various senior assignments with Shangri-La International.

Nicole Sinclair is the Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Bora Bora slated to open in June 2006. Sinclair previously held various senior level positions at Westin and Sheraton hotels on Maui.

Fintan O'Doherty has been named Director of Operations at the Hilton Chongqing. Fintan joined Hilton International in September 2001 as the Director of Operations at the Hilton Manchester Airport and was most recently at the Hilton London Green Park.

Wolf-Alvaro Rautenberg has been named Executive Assistant Manager for the Kempinski Hotel Shenyang. Alvaro was most recently in China where he was Director of Food and Beverage for the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center.

Samantha Spurgeon returns to Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts handling French Polynesia as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently in a similar position handling the Caribbean for Orient-Express, following eleven years in New York and London for Le Méridien.

Benjamin Sinclair has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the St. Regis Bora Bora and the Bora Bora Nui Resort in French Polynesia. He was previously a Sales Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.


The Kahala Hotel and Resort has named Greg Nixon as Eastern Regional Sales Manager. Nixon was most recently at the Fairmont Kea Lani where he was a National Sales Manager.


Raphael Guillien has been named General Manager of the Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa in Vietnam. He was most recently the Resident Manager of the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Hotel & Resort, in Cyprus and was previously in the Maldives for Kurumba as Resident Manager, following eight years with Le Méridien.

Joachim Textor has been appointed Executive Chef for the soon to open Regent Beijing. Textor was most recently at the Westin Chosun in Seoul and previously at the Meritus Mandarin Hotel Singapore.

Thomas Laberer is returning to Hilton International as the Executive Chef at the Hilton Singapore. Laberer was most recently heading up the kitchens for the Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Cape Town and prior had been working in the same position at the Table Bay Hotel Cape Town, the Hilton Hotel Shanghai and the Ciragan Palace Hotel Kempinski Istanbul.

Andreas Bruck has been appointed Executive Chef at the Hilton Chongqing. Bruck joined Hilton International in 1991 as the Sous Chef at the Hilton Leeds and has been with Hilton for over thirteen years in Turkey at the Hilton Mersin, Hilton Izmir, Hilton Parksa, Hilton Istanbul and Hilton Antalya.

Boris Cuzon has been named Executive Chef of Sofitel Métropole replacing Didier Corlou who will be Chef Consultant for the hotel and several hotel projects for ACCOR Vietnam. Cuzon comes to the Métropole after ten years working in San Francisco and two years at the Sofitel Silom Bangkok.

David Bonnevie has been promoted to Regional Pacific Beach Manager handling all pool facilities owned by Starwood Hotels and Resort in Polynesia. Bonnevie was previously the Beach Manager at the Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa.

Nara Thon has been appointed Restaurant Manager for Jambu's at the Raffles Resort Canouan Island. Thon was most recently the Beverage Manager at the Raffles Grand Hotel in Siem Reap for more than four years.

Jamie Waring will now be the Managing Director of Six Senses Spas in Bangkok, a change from his former role of Managing Director Operations for the Six Senses Spas division of the group. Waring was previously with David Lloyd Leisure where he held the role of Regional Manager.


MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA
Robert Riley has been named Chief Executive Officer for Emaar Hotels & Resorts responsible for driving the development of Armani branded hotels and resorts. Riley was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. He also served in the same capacity for Mandarin Oriental for ten years.

Ashraf Khalil has been appointed Area General Manager for InterContinental's forthcoming properties in the Taba region of Egypt and will also be the General Manager of the InterContinental Resort Taba Heights. Nicolas Konig has been appointed General Manager of La Plantation Hotel and Les Cocotiers Hotel in Mauritius. Konig was previously with Jumeirah, Grand Hyatt, Royal Meriden, Shangri-La and Club Med.

Paul Rodwell has been named Resident Manager at Amanjena in Marrakech. Rodwell was previously with Explora Hotels in Chile and with Hyatt International for ten years.

The Intercontinental Abu Dhabi has appointed Heiner Werdeling as its new General Manager, joining after two years at the InterContinental The Grand in Mumbai.

Julian Lowry is joining the Crowne Plaza Bahrain as Director of Food and Beverage. Lowry was in the same position at the Sonesta Maho Beach Hotel in St. Maarten.

Fernando Rojo has been named Resort Manager, Director of Food and Beverage at the Gran Hotel Rodina in Sochi City on the Black Sea. Rojo was most recently at the Hotel Claris Barcelona as Hotel Manager and was previously in various food and beverage positions at the Grand Marina Hotel and the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

The InterContinental Dubai has appointed Anita Russell as Director of Human Resources. Russell transferred directly from the InterContinental Hotels Group Melbourne Australia where she held the position of Manager of Talent Management for four InterContinental properties.

Pascal Carrion has moved as Director of Engineering from the Habtoor Grand Hotel and Spa to the Bavaria Executive Suites both in Dubai. Carrion was previously the Chief Engineer at the Sheraton Brussels, Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort and La Belle Creole in St. Martin.

The Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai has announced the appointment of Sandra Mazuka as Public Relations Manager. Mazuka, a Cornell graduate, previously worked with the Fairmont Hotel Dallas and was most recently at Le Méridien Parkhotel in Frankfurt as the Public Relations Manager and Personal Assistant to the Area General Manager.

Sedat Bugday has officially promoted to Cluster Executive of the Adana Hilton and the Mersin Hilton. Bugday was previously the Executive Chef of the Adana Hilton.

Curtis Saminadas is the new Sous Chef at the Banyan Tree Seychelles. He was previously a Sous Chef at Les Pavillons in Mauritius.
