Courtyard Budapest City Center and Courtyard St. Petersburg Center West/Pushkin Hotel Add to Expanding Courtyard by Marriott Portfolio in Europe

Courtyard by Marriott has opened the Courtyard Budapest City Center under a long-term management agreement with Ablon Group Limited and the Courtyard St. Petersburg Center West/Pushkin Hotel under a long-term agreement between Marriott International and OOO Stroiprogress.

With more than 40 properties and over 7,000 rooms throughout Europe and 10 more hotels currently under construction, the Courtyard by Marriott brand is positioned for major development throughout the region. “We are very excited by the continued growth of our Courtyard brand in Europe and the opening of these two beautiful new hotels in such vibrant and prime destinations as St. Petersburg and Budapest,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe.

The 235-room Courtyard Budapest City Center is located on Blaha Luiza Square in the Pest section of Budapest. Located in close proximity to both the airport and public transportation lines, the hotel is situated minutes away from attractions including the Rudas Thermal Bath, Gellért Hill, Buda Castle and Erzsébet Bridge.

Located in a historic building in Budapest’s city center, the contemporary hotel boasts a beautifully restored façade. Guestrooms feature plush bed and bath linens, flat-screen televisions, refrigerators and large well-lit work desks. The hotel’s Oléo Pazzo Mediterranean Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and features an exciting show kitchen for guests to get in on the action. Oléo Pazzo is named after the legendary Leo Mezzotapoli who, due to his affinity for the olive and his eccentric manner, was also known as “Oléo Pazzo” or crazy olive. The hotel also offers a convenient Grab ‘&’ Go market with snacks and sundries available 24 hours a day.

Additionally, the hotel offers seven meeting rooms and 24/7 fitness center.

The new 273-room Courtyard St. Petersburg Center West/Pushkin Hotel is located in central St. Petersburg within a 10-minute walk of the Marinsky Theater and St. Nicholas Cathedral and the State Hermitage. It is Marriott’s second Courtyard-branded hotel in St. Petersburg.

Guetsrooms feature luxurious bed and bath linens, flat screen televisions, refrigerators, large well-lit work desks and high speed internet access.

Culinary delights abound at the Courtyard St. Petersburg Center West/Pushkin Hotel. Boasting one bar and two restaurants, guests can choose from the Onegin Bar, Poema Restaurant and a Bierstube restaurant which features beer from its own brewery. A “Grab & Go” market is available for those guests in a hurry.

For small meetings, weddings and social events, the hotel offers nine meeting rooms and an 850 square meter ballroom. The hotel also boasts a fitness center and its own wedding palace for spectacular on-site weddings in a restored historic building attached to the hotel.
