Experts offer stylish advice on Crystal voyages

While some travelers yearn to look refreshed from their vacations, Crystal guests can actually return home with a head-to-toe makeover.

On Crystal Cruises’ two 2010 Fashion & Style Experiences of Discovery voyages, veteran hair, makeup, and fashion professionals share their “tricks of the trade” and expand the personal complimentary services at Crystal’s Style Desk. One-on-one consultations, runway-style fashion shows, insights on the influence of European fashion, and fashion-focused films up the glamour quotient on Crystal Serenity’s June 6 “Culture & Couture” cruise from Barcelona to Athens and September 29 “Fashion Capitals” itinerary from Venice to Monte Carlo.

Setting the style are:

* Hair and Make-up Style Lab – Hair and make-up artist Lauren Favorule and Stephanie Kelly highlight guests’ best features during hands-on sessions and share practical every day and super glam beauty tricks.

* Style Desk – Fashion stylist Caitlin Crespin provides personal consultations to perfect your look.

* Fashion Show – Fashion designer and model Lauren Elaine presents a runway-style show of her contemporary, European-influenced collection.

* Presentations – Designer and stylists will give interactive lectures and interviews.

“The innate style and glamour of the Mediterranean provides an inspiring locale from which to explore one’s own style, as well as to celebrate memorable European fashion,” says Christopher Escamilla, Crystal’s entertainment coordinator. “Whether guests are looking to spice up their look, glean a few easy tips, or shop for tasty additions to one’s wardrobe, the designers are invaluable resources for both sexes.”

The June 6 12-day cruise visits Barcelona, Monte Carlo (overnight), Porto Venere, Rome, Sorrento (overnight), Sicily, Kusadasi, Mykonos and Athens.

The September 29 nine-day voyage begins with an overnight in Venice, visiting Dubrovnik, Sorrento, Rome, Porto Venere, Florence and Monte Carlo.

With two-for-one rates, per person (double occupancy) cruise fares start at $5,045 or $5,640 for the nine- or 12-day cruises, respectively – including $1,000 per person “All Inclusive –As You Wish shipboard spending credits and free air transportation from more than 20 North American gateways – Business Class air for Penthouse guests.
