Crestline Hotels & Resorts Selected as the New Management Company for the The Melrose Hotel, Washington, DC

Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced its appointment by Highland Hospitality Corporation (HIH:NYSE) as the new management company for the 240 guest room Melrose Hotel Washington, DC. The upscale boutique hotel was recently purchased by Highland Hospitality, a Virginia-based real estate investment trust (REIT). The Melrose Hotel Washington, DC recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation to all of its guest rooms and public spaces creating a sophisticated and classically charming atmosphere for guests. The hotel is located in the heart of one of DC's most notable neighborhoods along Pennsylvania Avenue. It is only one block from Georgetown and a short stroll from the Foggy Bottom Metro station, as well as in close proximity to the White House. The hotel is easily accessed from Reagan National Airport.

All of the hotel’s 240 spacious guest rooms and suites have been completely remodeled and each room features: home-like bedding with pillow top mattresses; two-line telephones with data ports and wireless Internet access; personal coffee makers; cable television and On Demand movies; plush robes and hair dryers; iron and ironing board; and complimentary newspaper delivery. Original artwork commissioned for the hotel adorns each room and features watercolor renderings of the city's famed historical attractions.

For meetings and special events The Melrose has some 5,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space including the sunlit Potomac Rooms and an intimate board room. The Landmark Restaurant offers fine diverse American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the popular Library Bar serves fine wine and cocktails.
