Polished portfolio reveals implementation of stricter standards at prestigious hospitality company

It may not be noticeable to the naked eye, but there is something inherently different within the pages of The Leading Hotels of the World annual directory this year, released worldwide today. With quality initiatives at the forefront of the company’s business plan and stricter standards put in place earlier this year, the 2010 edition reveals a more tightly-curated collection of hotels, resorts and spas that truly represent the hallmarks of the historic Leading Hotels brand. Showcasing more than 450 members in over 80 countries across the globe, this unparalleled – and honed – portfolio will impress those already familiar with the legendary luxury hospitality company and capture the attention of discerning travelers seeking unique, authentic experiences.

Unveiled at Leading Hotels’ Annual Convention, which took place in Venice, Italy in late November, the handsome hardcover volume again devotes a full page to each hotel. This year’s print run of more than 600,000 copies includes editions in Japanese and Mandarin.

Appearing for the first time in this edition are the following 13 new Leading Hotels:

Royal Spa Kitzbühel, Jochberg, Austria
The Augustine, Prague, Czech Republic
