Radisson SAS Sharjah first hotel to plan ferry service to Dubai

Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah, part of the first-class brand of the leading hospitality company, Rezidor SAS Hospitality, plans to create a ferry service to Dubai from its private jetty, making it the first property in the emirate with this unique facility.
“We are currently working on finalising the details and hope to start the service once or twice a day for our hotel guests,” said Guy Chidiac, Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah.
“This will be a unique selling point for the hotel as guests will be able to explore the UAE from a different angle as well as beat traffic.”
Radisson SAS Resort Sharjah has also completed the second phase of its refurbishment, which includes a complete make-over of its all-day dining restaurant, public areas and outdoor facilities.
The hotel’s ‘Waterfalls’ restaurant is now set amidst an impressive garden and there’s also a new lobby coffee shop. Twenty cabanas surrounding the pool have been transformed into tropical beach villas. Four new swimming pools, with adjoining day-time dining outlets, complement the hotel’s extensive private beach.
“Now that the second phase is complete, we will gradually start the final stage which is a soft refurbishment of the rooms,” added Chidiac.
“The hotel had a record breaking performance last year with occupancies between 95 and 100 per cent.”
The 300-room resort earlier refurbished its ‘Mubarakiya’ ballroom, its ‘souk’ area and health club, which includes a separate gym for ladies and three massage rooms. The design for both phases was carried out by Dubai-based interior design consultancy, Wa International.
