2. Wish you were here… MSC Splendida Christening on MSC Web TV
The christening of MSC Splendida in Barcelona was such a great one, so if you missed it the first time, you’ve now got the chance to witness again the birth of the cruise which completes the MSC Fantasia class on Web TV.
Christened in a suitably splendid style by screen legend Sophia Loren, the ceremony was accompanied by a spectacular gala show starring operatic maestro José Carreras and other acclaimed artists.

3. Bowling on board
At the heart of the Sports Bar of MSC Splendida, you’ll find the first-ever stunning mini-bowling alley with an innovative surface that allows anyone to play without the need for those uncomfortable bowling shoes.
The careful design of the bowling balls are made just so that the size of the bowling balls is manageable for children but still presents a challenge to adults. Above where the bowling takes place sit two large LCD screens which offer interactive videogame animations with a choice of Ten Pin Tour and Turkey Shoot, adding to the fun for small kids and big kids alike.

5. Get on Board for Children – MSC for UNICEF
MSC Cruises is proud to announce an important new partnership with UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund. The initiative will benefit disadvantaged children and adolescents in Brazil by helping to ensure they receive a quality education.

6. MSC Fantasia certified by Associazione Italiana Celiachia as Alimentazione Fuori Casa
MSC Fantasia has received certification from the Associazione Italiana Celiachia (AIC) to serve gluten-free products, thus becoming a legitimate partner in the AIC’s Network Alimentazione Fuori Casa (Eating Out).
On board MSC Fantasia, all celiac passengers can follow a proper diet in all the ship’s restaurants: 17 special menus are available, from breakfast through lunch to dinner. The Bar Fantasia also has a special “gluten free” list. MSC Cruises guarantees compliance with the AIC’s safety rules and directives for gluten-free foods aboard its ships, carrying on its commitment to meet the dietary requirements of all passengers, especially those who suffer from particular illnesses.
