InterContinental Hotels Group Announces Openings of 88th & 89th Staybridge Suites Hotels

InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, announced today that Staybridge Suites has opened the doors of its 88th and 89th all-suite hotels in Las Cruces, N.M. (USA) and Newark, Del. (USA), the brand’s first entrée into these markets.


“We welcome our newest Staybridge Suites properties in Las Cruces and Newark as our first two openings for 2006,” said Robert Radomski, vice president, Brand Management, Staybridge Suites. “Two of nearly 20 Staybridge Suites hotels set to open this year, our portfolio of upscale extended-stay hotels continues to grow at an accelerated pace.”


Guests at the new Staybridge Suites hotels can choose from three suite options (deluxe studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath). All suites feature fully equipped kitchens, in-room DVD/CD players, functional, well-lit work stations with ergonomic seating, data ports, two-line speaker phone with voicemail and direct dial access and high-speed internet access is also available at no charge.


The new hotels offer several unique amenities such as complimentary guest laundry and workout facilities, deluxe complimentary daily breakfast buffet which features a rotating selection of hot items, Bridgemart 24-hour convenience store and a 24-hour business services center. In addition, guests will enjoy gathering in the hotel’s Great Room for evening "Sundowner” receptions three days a week for refreshments, light appetizers and conversation.




The 87-room all-suite property in Las Cruces is located just off I-25 in the northeastern part of Las Cruces. Several key businesses are close by, such as NASA White Sands Test Facility, New Mexico State University and Southern New Mexico Cancer Center. White Sands National Monument is also just minutes from the property. The Staybridge Suites Las Cruces also offers an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi, putting green, outdoor gazebo and two boardrooms for small to medium-size meetings.


The Staybridge Suites Las Cruces is jointly owned by John Curry Construction & Real Estate, Paul Curry Homes, Inc., Emerick Real Estate & Construction, Inc. and Lodging Host Hotel Corporation. The hotel is managed by Lodging Host Hotel Corporation, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group, and is located at 2651 Northrise Dr., Las Cruces, N.M., 88011. The 73-room all-suite property in Newark is located off I-95 and State Highway 273. Several key businesses are close by, such as Bank of America, DuPont and Daimler-Chrysler. The Grand Opera House and the University of Delaware are minutes from the hotel while Longwood Gardens and Nemours Mansion and Garden are just a short drive from the property. The Staybridge Suites Wilmington-Newark also offers a boardroom for small meetings.
