Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) today announced that the Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta has become the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites. It is the first full-service Marriott in Augusta, Ga., home to the Masters Golf Tournament. Located on the riverfront at Two Tenth Street, the 372-room hotel features an all-suite, high rise tower and more than 45,000 square feet of meeting space. The property is owned and operated by Azalea Development Corporation.

"We're very excited to be part of the Marriott family of hotels, and we look forward to welcoming our past guests and introducing new visitors to this wonderful hotel. Our customers can expect Marriott's new luxurious bedding and a fresh guestroom design, and we will continue to provide an outstanding level of service that our guests have come to trust and rely on," said Darryl Leech, vice president and general manager, Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites.

All guestrooms feature Marriott's new, more luxurious bedding with plusher mattresses, softer linens and more pillows. Replacing the traditional hotel bedspread is a down comforter nestled inside sheeted duvets, which will be freshly laundered for each new guest. The stylized bedding features 300- thread-count, cotton-rich, white top and fitted bottom sheets and is accented with euro shams, a decorative bed scarf and bolster. Other in-room amenities include a workspace with ergonomic desk and chair, high-speed wireless Internet access, telephone with data port and speaker phone, coffee maker, iron with ironing board, and cable TV with premium channels.

The Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites is ideal for business and social occasions, offering a total of 45,000 square feet of well appointed meeting space -- with the 10,500 square-foot Oglethorpe Ballroom and 21 flexible breakout rooms. Technological capabilities include high-speed Internet access in all meeting rooms and comprehensive audiovisual facilities. A 24-hour business center is also available to meet guests' needs.

The Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites is in close proximity to the famed Augusta National Golf Club and many premier public golf courses; including The River Golf Club, Mount Vintage Plantation Golf Club and the Club at Jones Creek. In addition to a myriad of restaurants and shopping destinations, other nearby attractions include the Morris Museum of Art, Augusta Museum of History, Fort Discovery & National Science Center, and the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame & Botanical Gardens. The hotel is located 13 miles away from Augusta Airport.

The hotel's signature restaurant, Augustino's Italian Eatery & Prime Steaks, offers prime certified Black Angus Steak, wood-fired pizza cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. K.C.'s Korner serves Starbucks Coffee and fresh pastries daily. Room service is also available.

Other hotel features include complimentary wireless Internet in all public areas, concierge floor, two fitness centers with dry saunas and locker rooms, indoor and outdoor pool with hot tub, gift shop, laundry service, complimentary hotel guest parking and round-trip airport shuttle service.
