Lois Shore, vice president of distribution for Outrigger Enterprises Group, is pleased to announce that Michele Nagamine has assumed the newly created position of business development director, Sports Market. In her new role, Ms. Nagamine is responsible for handling the daily operations, sales and marketing efforts for all sports bookings within the Outrigger Enterprises Group’s portfolio of Hawaii properties. She will represent Outrigger Enterprises Group at trade shows and conventions. She will also develop partnerships with sports-based travel agencies across the U.S. as well as with youth and adult sports organizations to create and host tournaments for Hawaii-based events.

Ms. Nagamine joins the North America sales department from her most recent split role in sports marketing and military contract sales. Prior to joining Outrigger, Ms. Nagamine was a sales representative for Adidas, Vans and InSport and the owner of Soccerama, a retail store that specialized in soccer sports merchandise.

Michele Nagamine is well known within Hawaii’s sporting and soccer communities having coached at various clubs, high school and college levels in Hawaii. She has been the head coach for Kamehameha School’s Girls Varsity Soccer team since 1993, where she led her team to seven Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) championships and five Hawaii State titles. Ms. Nagamine is a seven-time ILH Coach of the Year, five-time Hawaii State Coach of the Year, and in 2007, she was named the NSCAA’s National High School Coach of the Year. In addition to her high school coaching accomplishments, she also serves as the technical director for Leahi Soccer Club and is the head coach of Hawaii Pacific University’s women’s soccer team.

“Ms. Nagamine’s creativity, expertise and successful track record in the sports field make her the perfect choice for this position,” said Lois Shore. “Teams, travel coordinators and travel agents will find the expertise they need if they have sports-related travel needs.”

“I am very excited to be back in the sports market full time,” Ms. Nagamine said. “In addition to finding accommodations for inbound sports teams, we leverage our local contacts to ensure that the teams have places to eat, facilities to train at and a chance to enjoy all that Hawaii has to offer. We can literally offer one-stop service for any sports program traveling in Hawaii.”

Aside from her sports accolades, Ms. Nagamine also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communication from Santa Clara University.
