Rachel Argaman, CEO of Toga Hospitality has been named the Telstra NSW Business Women of the Year, and winner of the NSW Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award at the NSW Telstra Business Women’s Award Ceremony Lunch on Friday 14 November 2008.

Dedicated to recognising and rewarding Australian women for their contribution to business and the wider community, the Awards program has become a prominent event on the business calendar since its inception in 1992.

Rachel Argaman, who joined Australian-owned Toga Hospitality over ten years ago, began her career with the company as Group Sales Manager and has risen up through the ranks to Director of Sales and Marketing, Group General Manager, Chief Operating Officer and finally Chief Executive Officer on 1 July 2007.

During this time, Toga Hospitality has grown exponentially from operating just one serviced apartment brand with less than 1000 rooms to currently operating four brands including 6 Vibe Hotels, 22 Medina Apartment Hotels, 15 Travelodge Hotels in Australia and New Zealand and 3 Adina Apartment Hotels in Europe.

According to Ms Argaman, “I am proud of the team at Toga Hospitality and what we, as a team, have achieved in the past ten years. I work with an intelligent, motivated group of team members who are passionate about and committed to the growth of Toga Hospitality. Being made a winner in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards feels like recognition of that achievement.”
Following Ms Argaman’s success at the NSW Awards, she is now eligible to win the 2008 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year, which will be announced at the national final on Tuesday 9 December 2008.
