The Sheraton Mahwah Hotel, located at the Crossroads Corporate Center, is currently undergoing an $8.2 million renovation. Scheduled for completion by first quarter 2009, guestrooms and common spaces will feature a fresh new look, in addition to a variety of upgraded amenities to enhance the guests’ comfort and overall experience.
Guest room renovations were completed in October 2008 and feature a new design with enhanced amenities to re-energize guests. The Sheraton Mahwah signature in-room experience will include:
* A new palette of familiar colors inspired by nature
* “Scene @ Sheraton” that will offer guests special access to a wide variety of in-room entertainment content, featuring an HD flat-screen television
* The new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper SM II – boasting comfortable mattresses, a redesigned ensemble, soft duvets and luxurious 300-thread count sheets
* Enhanced bathrooms featuring new bath and shower fixtures, in addition to “Shine by Bliss®” amenities created exclusively for Sheraton
“The renovations complement our impeccable service,” General Manager Kevin Wolford said. “The guest experience is designed to meet the needs of travelers who are in search of comfort and familiarity, offering them spacious accommodations, thoughtful amenities and superior service. When a guest chooses to stay with us, our commitment to service and loyalty will leave a lasting impression.”
Renovations of common spaces, including the lobby, front desk and lobby lounge have commenced and are slated to be complete by first quarter 2009. The new design will continue to welcome guests into a world of relaxation by embracing nature in the atrium lobby, featuring a towering waterfall. Additional improvements to the New Jersey hotel:
* “Link@Sheraton” lobby-based communications hub featuring complimentary wireless Internet and Internet-enabled computer stations
* A communal table in the lobby area that allows several groups of guests to work independently of one another within the same space
* New sensory elements, including open air scent, music and lighting
* Five story glass atrium lobby will continue to allow nature to shine through, offering an area for guests to refresh while enjoying ample, natural lighting
* All new carpeting, wall coverings and furnishings
* The new lobby lounge will feature a 32-seat bar, comfortable seating areas, communal tables and enhanced lighting
Completion of meeting room renovations is scheduled for the end of the first quarter 2009. The Skylite Ballroom on the 12th floor, which is surrounded by a wall of windows, offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The ballroom’s renovation will include new vinyl, carpet and chandeliers. The Grand Ballroom, located on the first floor, will undergo a complete transformation highlighted by a smooth, natural design with a soft, neutral décor. The room’s cargo doors, used for trade shows and expos, are hidden; the Sheraton Mahwah is the only hotel boasting this unique feature. Additionally, the New Jersey hotel’s boardrooms will be modernized to include state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.
Located in Northern Bergen County, Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is just 40 minutes outside of New York City and 40 minutes from Newark International Airport. Conveniently situated near Interstate 287, Route 17, and the New York State Thruway, the hotel gives guests quick and easy access to the surrounding areas, as well as many large corporations, shopping malls, outlet shopping, golf courses, ski resorts, and fine dining locations.
