With a prime location, nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain, one block from the gondola, Hyatt Grand Aspen Resort opened December 17, 2005 as the first purpose-built luxury fractional ownership opportunity in downtown Aspen. Every room in the project has been designed with luxury buyers and their needs in mind.

The property has been designed to blend into the historic context of the town of Aspen offering 50 units from one to four bedroom suites, featuring 33 unique floor plans.

“Hyatt Grand Aspen has been the fastest selling property in the history of Hyatt Vacation Ownership,” said John Burlingame, executive vice president of Hyatt Vacation Ownership Inc.(HVOI). “We have an unbeatable location and are thrilled with the high quality of the property. We are looking forward to being a part of such a vibrant community.”

The quality and luxury of the physical property as well as the level of service provided is indicative of what guests find at the finest Hyatt properties around the world. Each unit boasts an elegant mountain style with stone entryways, marble and granite finishes, multiple fireplaces, gourmet kitchens with premium appliances, spa tubs and steam showers. Common space amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool with a year-round heated deck, outdoor hot tubs and a fitness center overlooking the pool.

Designer Tracy Egolf has taken mountain elegance to a new height of luxury, using soft, warm fabrics in rich jewel tones juxtaposed against comfortable leather furniture. The residences bring the best of the outdoors inside, with planked solid oak floors, grand stone entryways, and just the right amount of rough-hewn timber accents. Multiple fireplaces offer cozy gathering spots. Gourmet kitchens feature Viking appliances, wine refrigerators, slab granite countertops, and plenty of space for the most seasoned chefs. The units are spacious and comfortable, ranging from 912 sq. ft to 3450 sq. ft.

Private spaces offer the same high level of luxurious appointments. Italian all-cotton linens provide cozy elegance, while each master bath features a 15” flat screen television, and various combinations of the following luxury items: steam shower, jetted tub, deep soaking tub, or multiple jetted shower.

Owners and visitors alike can also take pleasure in the high level of service they have come to associate with the Hyatt brand. Twice-daily housekeeping service as well as ski and bike valets are available at the property. Upon arrival, owners will find their kitchen fully stocked, and all their reservations handled in advance. Tables at the hottest restaurants, babysitting services, spa appointments and arrangements for favorite ski instructors can all be pre-booked through Hyatt Grand Aspen's full-time, on-site concierge.

A cozy wine bar, adjacent to the lobby, serves over 35 wines by the glass and a small plates tasting menu. The lounge area features two fireplaces and comfortable seating areas for Hyatt owners and visitors to the property.

Hyatt owners buy specific weeks and specific residences unlike most fractionals selling rotating schedules and lottery systems. Owners can purchase Christmas, New Years, or President’s Week and will be guaranteed that week, and their unit, each and every year. Units are sold in 1/20th fractions opening the market up to visitors who are interested in Aspen, but not necessarily in the typical time and financial commitments required with many of the luxury fractional projects currently available. Owners buy a specific week and residence and then have the ability to select an additional 10 days during the unsold 32 weeks of the year. In addition, ownership at The Hyatt Grand Aspen offers the flexibility of exchanging time in any other Hyatt Vacation Club (HVC) or Hyatt Hotels around the world.

HVOI currently has vacation ownership properties in Carmel, California; Beaver Creek, Colorado; Breckenridge, Colorado; Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Sedona, Arizona; San Antonio, Texas; Bonita Springs, Florida (Naples Coast); Dorado, Puerto Rico and Key West, Florida.
