InterContinental Hotels Group Launches Priority Club Rewards

InterContinental Hotels Group, which owns a portfolio of hotel brands including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts and Express by Holiday Inn across the Asia Pacific, announced today at a signing ceremony at InterContinental Pudong Shanghai that it has secured the airline partnership with Shanghai Airlines. This is the 45th airline alliance of its loyalty programme Priority Club Rewards (PCR), the fastest growing loyalty programme in the world. This has also made InterContinental Hotels Group the first global hotel partner for Shanghai Airlines. “Frequent Flyer Program” members of Shanghai Airlines can expect more options to earn mileage. And when they stay at any family brands of Priority Club Rewards, they are able to earn 800 kilometres per stay.


Shanghai Airlines comments that they are very pleased to welcome the world’s largest hotel company - InterContinental Hotels Group into their Frequent Flyer Program. They believe that this partnership will offer their members more convenience and a valuable service in strengthening the development of the Shanghai Airlines’ Frequent Flyer Program.

With more than 27 million members which includes 536,000 members in China, Priority Club Rewards features more sought-after benefits than any other hotel offering. It combines features like Points Transfer, Points Purchase and the fastest way to Elite status with programme pillars of no blackout dates on Rewards Nights and no point expiration to form one powerful programme that is simple and easy.


The award-winning Priority Club Rewards programme recently captured top honours at the 17th Annual International Freddie Awards, based on responses from the world’s most frequent travellers. Among hotel loyalty programmes around the world, Priority Club Rewards placed first in Best Member Communication (Asia) and Best Web Site (Asia).
