About Artist Jean-Marc Huss
Since moving to Thailand 26 years ago, Mr. Huss has succeeded in translating the finery of Buddha images through a palette of textures and patinas captured with a photo-realist technique and mastery of light and shade. Mr. Huss pays particular attention to the individual quality of each Buddha image – their different postures and gestures, as well as the materials from which they are made. Using oil paint, gold leaf, and other secret ingredients, he depicts the ancient patina of stone statues creating images that appear calm and serene.

His artwork also is available separately for purchase through Kings Road Galleries, London and inquiries can be made by calling +1 (917) 902 1703 or visiting online at www.kingsroadartgallery.com
