Rezidor announces two new hotels in Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, further strengthens its portfolio in Dubai – announcing a dual hotel in the “DMCC Business Park” in within the DMCC Freezone. A 32-storey complex will feature the Radisson DMCC Business Park Hotel, Dubai (150 rooms) and a second yet unbranded hotel (300 rooms, both to open in Q3 2011).

“Dubai is the economical heart of the United Arab Emirates and a very important market for us”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “These two new contracts bring our portfolio in the Emirates to ten properties in operation and under development – among them the award winning properties Radisson SAS Dubai Deira Creek and Radisson SAS Dubai Media City.”

Rezidor develops the new hotels in co-operation with DMCC Business Park. “This double-branded hotel tower will prove to be of great value in catering to the varied interests of all our members and the Business Park. We are pleased to tie up with Rezidor which brings its special expertise to this project,” says Bryan Wilson, Executive Director - Property at DMCC.

The hotels will be built adjacent to the Jumeirah Lake Towers, opposite Dubai Marina and 10 kilometres away from the upcoming Al Maktoum International Airport – the world's largest international airport, which will handle 120 million passengers per year – located within the 140-square kilometre Dubai World Central aviation project.

The Radisson DMCC Business Park Hotel, Dubai will offer 3 restaurants, 1 bar, 1 pub, 1 lobby and executive lounge, 1 ballroom, meeting rooms and fitness facilities as well as parking spaces. The second hotel will comprise a restaurant and a lobby lounge, while meeting rooms, fitness facilities and further restaurants will be shared with Radisson.
