We are currently recruiting Bartender to join our excellent Food and Beverage team at Carton House.
The successful candidate will have:
A real understanding of hotel food and beverage operation.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a 4/5* property.
A structured and organised approach to work planning.
Key Responsibilities
Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards and guest preferences.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and offering recommendations.
Keep the bar clean and organised, ensuring all bar tools, glasses, and equipment are sanitised and in proper working condition.
Monitor stock levels of liquor, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies, and report shortages to the bar manager.
Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and tabs, following hotel procedures.
Adhere to local laws regarding alcohol service, and ensure responsible service of alcohol to prevent overconsumption.
Suggest speciality cocktails, promotions, and high-end beverages to enhance guest experience and boost sales.
Accommodate guests' specific preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests in a professional manner.
Create a positive and friendly environment for guests, contributing to the luxury hotel experience.
Work closely with other staff members (servers, chefs, managers) to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Recognise signs of intoxication and manage situations to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests.
Set up bars and assist with preparation for special events, banquets, or private functions hosted by the hotel.
Follow all hygiene, safety, and health regulations to ensure a safe and clean environment.
