Since its rebranding under the prestigious Maybourne Hotel Group, the former Montage Beverly Hills has emerged as a destination for design-minded travellers, wellness seekers, and culinary enthusiasts alike.

This five-star retreat draws on both its storied Hollywood neighbourhood and its sister properties in London—Claridge’s, The Connaught, and The Berkeley—to create a cosmopolitan sanctuary infused with California ease.

A sanctuary of wellness

One of the most striking features of The Maybourne Beverly Hills is its expansive spa, which spans 20,000 square feet across two levels—the largest luxury hotel spa in Beverly Hills with its 17 treatment rooms. A mineral pool provides a peaceful centrepiece beneath a soaring, mosaic-tiled skylight. Steam rooms, saunas, and hot tubs offer corners of tranquillity, while relaxation lounges stocked with herbal teas and infused waters allow guests to unwind between treatments.

A curated selection of international skincare lines rounds out the menu: Dr. Barbara Sturm's anti-inflammatory treatments, UMA Oils’ Ayurvedic blends, Ymu HydraSpa facials, and triple-collagen facials from Evidens de Beauté. The result is a spa program that is both high-tech and deeply holistic.

A legacy in grooming

Tucked away on the lower level is a hidden piece of Beverly Hills history: Gornik & Drucker, the legendary barbershop. Once frequented by Old Hollywood royalty, the shop remains true to its roots with hot towel shaves, classic cuts, and bespoke scalp treatments.

Fitness meets design

Just steps from the spa, the 24-hour fitness centre is discreet but well-equipped. Designed for serious workouts and casual movement alike, it features Woodway treadmills, Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes, Wattbikes, and a functional training studio with Pent dumbbells and TRX rigs.

Rooftop leisure with a view

Above it all, on the hotel’s ninth floor, The Maybourne’s rooftop transforms into a city escape. The Dante poolside offers sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles skyline. Private cabanas with televisions, mini-fridges, and Wi-Fi provide shaded luxury for hotel guests.

Dining that spans coasts and continents

From sunlit breakfasts to after-hours cocktails, The Maybourne Beverly Hills offers a diverse collection of dining venues suited to every mood. The Terrace, overlooking the manicured lawns of Beverly Cañon Gardens, feels like a European piazza, with alfresco tables and a Mediterranean-inspired menu celebrating local produce.

For a livelier scene, Dante Beverly Hills brings rooftop energy and New York pedigree to its westward outpost, while The Maybourne Bar downstairs is all understated glamour—ideal for a pre-dinner martini or late-night negroni. Nearby, The Maybourne Café offers an all-day menu of coffee, pastries, and light bites. The Whisky Bar impresses connoisseurs with rare Scottish and Japanese bottles and a humidor of over 1,000 cigars.

The rooms

Renovated in 2020 with Bryan O’Sullivan, 2020 Elle Décor UK Interior Designer of the Year, the 201 guestrooms, including 55 suites, offer bright interiors with neutral tones. The windows offer views of the Beverly Canon Gardens, the city and the hills. The rooms offer a refined blend of classic sophistication and contemporary comfort.

In-room amenities include Dyson hairdryers, Nespresso machines, and well-stocked minibars with California-inspired selections. Entertainment and connectivity are seamlessly integrated with high-speed Wi-Fi, and smart TVs.

Whether you come for the spa, the food, or simply the view, The Maybourne Beverly Hills offers a rare mix of polish and personality. It’s a place where tradition and trend coexist gracefully—where the past is honoured, the present is celebrated, and every stay feels timeless.

We were present at the hotels in our Los Angeles series in October 2024 and delayed the publications to spring due to the fires, we hope none of the team members were severely impacted by them.
