The route through the Loire Valley tells the story of France. From Blois to Chenonceaux, via Chambord and Amboise, its majestic banks attract visitors from all over the world, seduced by the aura of the Renaissance kings. A few hours from the hustle and bustle of Paris, the Loire is a haven of serenity, a charming calm with a thousand and one landscapes. A land of wine and gastronomy, it is the cradle of tarte tatin and Montargis pralines, but above all of Sauvignon and Sancerre, which here display an infinite palette of colours and aromas and form a living picture as far as the eye can see.

It is in the midst of these grape varieties that the elegant building of the Sources de Cheverny emerges, queen in its domain of lush greenery, between forests and vineyards. A setting that lives up to the ambitious project of Alice and Jérôme Tourbier, creators of the Sources group. Proprieties living through their location and their link with wine, here that of the Loire Valley. After their success in Bordeaux, they are taking on a riskier challenge: showcasing a region known to wine lovers, but less well known to French and foreign tourists, while maintaining the hotel formula that earned the Sources de Caudalie its Palace distinction. A property that is close to and respectful of its environment, with a gourmet restaurant, a tangible link with local oenology and a generous offer of disconnection and well-being.

From the very first steps, the charm takes effect. Nestled among the trees, the reception area is located in a large, light-filled building, while a dozen or so bicycles await visitors to explore the surrounding area. Behind the concierge desk, there is a cosy lounge by the fire where you can sip a hot chocolate while watching nature take its course through the windows of this veranda, with a view of the estate.

Les Sources de Cheverny is a constellation of small dwellings surrounding a lake, offering a human-sized complex of 49 rooms, divided between houses with enchanting names reminiscent of the local fauna and flora: the bee barn, the flower house, the ringer's hideaway... There are also a few rooms in the heart of the Château du Breuil, an 18th-century building remodelled to accommodate the hotel.

Rooms steeped in their surroundings

These almost 50 rooms are divided into five categories, ranging from 25 m² to 50 m²: superior and prestige rooms, junior suites, suites and a signature suite. Each room at Les Sources de Cheverny is a haven of refinement, where timeless elegance meets absolute comfort. Designed to offer total immersion in the bucolic atmosphere of the estate, they harmoniously blend noble materials, furniture sourced by Alice Tourbier and contemporary touches. The natural tones and subdued lighting create a soothing calm, perfect for relaxation. In each room, guests will find exceptional French bedding, an elegant bathroom equipped with Caudalie products, and a cosy resting area, ideal for enjoying the enchanting setting of the estate. Some have a view of the lake, others overlook the vineyards or the surrounding forest, allowing for an intimate connection with nature. Every detail of the room reflects this immersion in nature, through a decoration subtly inspired by the theme of the room.

A true jewel of Les Sources de Cheverny, the Signature Suite, nicknamed the Baron Perché, is an exclusive haven of peace, designed for travellers in search of an extraordinary experience. Nestled in the heart of the estate, this 47 m² suite offers a generous space and a cosy yet luminous atmosphere, combining elegance and intimacy. The spacious lounge is an invitation to relax, while the bedroom and its large bed guarantee a comfortable night's sleep. The marble bathroom, with its free-standing bathtub and walk-in shower, promises a true wellness experience. To top off the experience, a private terrace offers a breathtaking view of the vineyards and the forest, allowing you to savour the peaceful beauty of the Loire Valley at dawn or dusk. Privileged guests can also enjoy a Nordic bath high above the estate's central lake.

A break of serenity and revitalisation at the spa

A true sanctuary of well-being, the Spa des Sources draws its inspiration from the surrounding nature to offer an experience of absolute relaxation within the Château du Breuil. Designed in a refined spirit and bathed in light, it combines natural materials, soft tones and an opening to the outside that extends the sensation of harmony with the landscape. Here, Caudalie treatments, inspired by the benefits of the vine, invite deep relaxation. In this temple of relaxation, the expert hands of the Sources de Cheverny therapists provide facials, massages and signature rituals. For a moment of total disconnection, the spa by Caudalie offers complete and tailor-made cures lasting several days. It has six treatment rooms, a thermal pool and a hammam. Outside, the jacuzzi allows you to prolong this moment of relaxation. The spa is also accompanied by a fully equipped gym to perfect your stay.

Activities combining nature, heritage and the art of living

Les Sources de Cheverny offers a complete immersion in the art of living in the Loire Valley, combining cultural discoveries, outdoor adventures and simple pleasures within the estate.

Outside, guests can explore the surrounding area on foot or by bike, following the winding paths through vineyards and forests, or set off in search of the many Loire châteaux, just a few minutes from the hotel. Tastings with local winegrowers can be arranged, offering the curious the opportunity to discover the wines of Cheverny. For those who are looking for something a little more unusual, why not take off from the hotel in a hot-air balloon and fly over the Loire region?

But the experience doesn't end at the gates of the estate. A whole host of activities are on offer right here in the hotel. Wellness enthusiasts can take yoga classes, try their hand at guided meditation or make the most of the shaded pétanque court. A library lounge, a piano and a billiard table are available for aficionados of indoor relaxation. For those who prefer to get out and about, while staying at Les Sources, the hotel has more than five hectares of forest, and offers a trail through the trees, starting from a charming boot room, where boots are provided. When the weather is fine, an outdoor swimming pool and a whirlpool bath complete the estate. For young and old alike who wish to reconnect with wildlife, a small farm is accessible to hotel guests, including goats.

Catering, the highlight at Cheverny

In the heart of the estate, Le Favori embodies the gastronomic elegance of Sources de Cheverny. In a refined setting where nature invites itself in through large bay windows, the restaurant, which has been awarded one Michelin star, honours the products of the Loire Valley in a subtle and inspired cuisine. Chef Frédéric Calmels creates precise, balanced and seasonal dishes for dinner during the week, but also for a delicious lunch at weekends, enhancing fish from the Loire, local meats and organic vegetables with combinations of delicate flavours.

The menu evolves with the seasons, offering gourmet dishes that showcase local ingredients throughout the meal. The wine list highlights the wines of Cheverny and other appellations of the region, for food and wine pairings perfectly mastered by head sommelier Paul Rybard. An exceptional gastronomic experience, where every detail is designed to delight the senses.

Authentic and friendly, L'Auberge celebrates local cuisine in a warm setting, with exposed beams and large wooden tables. Here, you can savour generous dishes inspired by the traditions of the Loire region: mushroom fricassee pies, rotisserie poultry, honey from the hotel's hives, accompanied by crusty bread and carefully selected local wines. In fine weather, the shaded terrace is the perfect place to savour an al fresco lunch in a relaxed, country atmosphere. More than just a restaurant, L'Auberge embodies the spirit of sharing and authenticity that makes the five-star property so special.

At Les Sources de Cheverny, time seems to stand still, lulled by the gentle Loire landscapes and the discreet elegance of the estate. Here, every detail is designed to provide an enchanted interlude, where the art of living is combined with refinement and serenity. Between gastronomic pleasures, absolute well-being and immersion in a region rich in tradition, the experience is intended to be as sensory as it is emotional. A timeless stopover, where you can let yourself be carried away by the magic of the place, a glass of Sauvignon in your hand, facing the vineyards that stretch out to infinity.
