“Luxury has taken many forms,” Bond stated. “The luxury of time, the luxury of space, and the luxury of a good night's sleep. Or even just the luxury of feeling safe.” With this philosophy in mind, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts launched Pan Pacific 2.0, investing over half a billion dollars in a refreshed vision of luxury that places emphasis on refined service, sustainable architecture, and immersive experiences.
Iconic Properties Redefined
Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore
Bond highlighted the newly opened Pan Pacific Orchard, a striking biophilic structure designed by world-renowned architect WOHA. “This property is a mini island within a building,” he noted, with lush terraces spanning over 12,000 square meters of foliage. Recognized as one of the top 15 most beautiful hotels in the world, it boasts unique swim-out pool suites, balconies, and an ambience that evolves from day to night.
Pan Pacific Singapore
Pan Pacific Singapore, a landmark in the Marina Bay area, recently underwent a $30 million transformation. “This property is an atrium hotel, it towers above the Marina Bay precinct,” said Bond. With award-winning dining options and what he calls “probably the best club lounge in the world,” it provides guests with panoramic 360-degree views of the city. Sustainability also plays a crucial role in the property, as it embodies the group’s commitment to environmentally conscious luxury.
Pan Pacific London
Pan Pacific London continues to uphold its reputation as a five-star property, blending Asian heritage with London’s historical architecture. “This property has an award-winning wellness floor designed by Yabu Pushelberg. It's over 1,000 sqm of space,” Bond shared. It has been "awarded a Forbes Travel Guide five-star rating for its stellar well-being offering.” The hotel also houses Silverleaf, an acclaimed bar ranked 27th in the world’s top 50 bars and designed by Tom Dixon.
Pan Pacific Tokyo
With Japan currently a hotspot for luxury travel, Bond highlighted Pan Pacific’s footprint in the region. Bellustar Tokyo, A Pan Pacific Hotel in Shinjuku is a collaboration between Tokyo’s Keiji Ashizawa and Copenhagen’s Norm Architects. Featuring 158 rooms, award-winning French and Japanese cuisine, and luxury penthouses exceeding 3,000 square feet, the hotel offers breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Guests can indulge in curated dining experiences and enjoy the harmonious blend of Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Pan Pacific Jakarta
Jakarta’s upcoming Pan Pacific will be the city’s tallest luxury hotel, located near Grand Indonesia Mall in Central Jakarta. With 158 elegantly designed rooms, the hotel offers a refined experience in the heart of Indonesia’s capital. This project is unique, with three brands housed in one tower, Bond explained. “Pan Pacific at the top, Parkroyal Service Suites in the middle, and Parkroyal Hotel at the bottom.” The hotel will feature on the 90th floor a Keyaki Japanese restaurant, a bar, an outdoor terrace, and a collaboration with a two-Michelin-starred chef from Kyoto. This development represents a new era of luxury in Indonesia’s bustling capital.
Luxury in Australia
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts continues to expand its presence in Australia, with properties such as Pan Pacific Melbourne, Pan Pacific Perth, Parkroyal Darling Harbour Sydney, Parkroyal Melbourne Airport, Parkroyal Monash Melbourne, and Parkroyal Parramatta. The group recently completed a $60 million renovation of Pan Pacific Perth, with breathtaking views over the Swan River, award-winning dining, and high-end accommodations. The renovation introduced contemporary interior designs inspired by Western Australia's natural landscapes, updated dining experiences, and enhanced wellness facilities, reaffirming the hotel’s status as one of Perth’s premier luxury destinations.
Commitment to Sustainability: the PARKROYAL Collection
Sustainability remains a key pillar for Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, exemplified by the PARKROYAL Collection. “We are the first hotel chain in Singapore to achieve GSTC certification,” Bond emphasized. PARKROYAL Collection Marina Bay, a biophilic masterpiece with four-story sky gardens, was recently named the world’s best green city hotel. “This is a garden in a hotel concept,” he said. The hotel features 50 varieties of lush foliage, 300 meters of garden walls, a true rooftop garden, and a four-story-high sky bridge with over 2,400 plants, emphasizing Pan Pacific’s commitment to sustainable hospitality.
Global Expansion
Pan Pacific continues to expand its presence with new developments in Australia, Cambodia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam. Notably, the upcoming Pan Pacific Kyoto, set to open in January 2025, will seamlessly integrate into the city’s cultural and architectural heritage.
The group has several additional openings planned over the next few years, including:
- Parkroyal Dalian (China): Scheduled to open in June 2025, this property will be the first PARKROYAL collection hotel in the destination.
- Parkroyal Jakarta (Indonesia): Expected to open in 2025.
- Pan Pacific Phnom Penh (Cambodia): The 227 keys hotel is anticipated to open in the first quarter of 2026.

A Vision for the Future
Summing up Pan Pacific’s trajectory, Bond reiterated the company’s commitment to graceful luxury: “Not only is it about the facilities, but it's also the graceful luxury. We really want our guests to feel the luxury experience and not just the opulence.”
With a growing portfolio of award-winning hotels, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts is setting new standards in luxury hospitality—where elegance meets authenticity and sustainability.
