At a time when luxury is combined with technology, LG Business Solutions wants to establish itself as the essential partner for premium hotels, with particular expertise in OLED display solutions and personalised streaming features that aim to redefine the standards of modern comfort. In a conversation with Anne-Christine Girardeau, Hospitality Market Development Manager, we explore the brand's technical developments and how it aims to support customer satisfaction in the most demanding establishments.
Exceptional technological know-how
LG's B2B division, dedicated to the hotel industry, is redefining the standards of hotel comfort thanks to constant innovations that affect all areas of a property, from the bedrooms to the common areas. "OLED technology - organic LED, where each LED generates its luminosity, offers absolute black and optimised energy consumption," explains Anne-Christine Girardeau.
LG's expertise particularly appeals to luxury establishments like Cheval Blanc, which has exclusively chosen LG OLED screens for its suites. The brand also supports establishments in their digital transformation by offering complete solutions, from dynamic signage in lobbies to collaborative screens in meeting rooms and personalised entertainment solutions in guest rooms.
The combination of design and performance
LG OLED screens are distinguished by their sleek design and extreme thinness, meeting the highest aesthetic demands of the luxury hotel sector. "Today, LG OLED screens are the thinnest on the market," emphasises Anne-Christine Girardeau.
This thinness allows for perfect integration into the most luxurious rooms, with the possibility of an almost invisible wall installation. This aesthetic approach is coupled with practical innovations, such as gallery mode, which allows artwork to be displayed when the screen is in standby mode, thus meeting the requirements of architects and interior designers.
OLED technology also offers exceptional visual performance, with deep blacks and vibrant colours that enrich the customer's viewing experience. For larger spaces, LG offers modular LED solutions that can be used to create impressive video walls, particularly suitable for lobbies and reception areas in prestigious establishments.
A personalised customer experience
The new generation of LG screens meets modern travellers' expectations by natively integrating the leading streaming platforms and facilitating connection with their own devices. "85% of the most used platforms are Netflix and YouTube," says Anne-Christine Girardeau.
Starting this year, the screens will integrate Chromecast technology, allowing customers to project their personal content easily. This development is accompanied by features like AirPlay and embedded applications, transforming the screen into a truly personalised entertainment hub. "We don't just sell screens, we create a complete experience," emphasises Anne-Christine Girardeau. "It is essential to understand that today's customers want to find the same level of technological comfort in their hotel room as they do at home, or even more."
This comprehensive approach also includes advanced connectivity solutions and an intuitive user interface, allowing establishments to customise the experience according to their brand image.
Innovation for sustainable development
LG Business Solutions is committed to an environmentally responsible approach that manifests itself on several levels. The marketing of professional displays without superfluous support feet is a perfect illustration of this pragmatic approach. "This is extremely important because there is a lot of talk about CSR. The feet represented a real challenge for integrators and hoteliers, with 99% of installations carried out on wall mounts," explains Anne-Christine Girardeau. This initiative, coupled with the energy efficiency of OLED screens, illustrates LG's commitment to a more sustainable hotel industry.
OLED technology contributes to this environmental approach, with optimised energy consumption thanks to completely switching off black pixels. For large display surfaces, modular LED solutions also offer increased durability, with the possibility of replacing only the defective modules rather than the entire screen. This responsible approach extends to advising establishments on optimising their network infrastructure to ensure efficient and sustainable use of technological solutions.
