Assistant Restaurant Manager – In charge of banquets (H/F)
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager – In charge of banquets at La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, Saint Martin, will uphold the highest standards of service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional and memorable dining experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the dining room staff, developing customer relationships, and coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also oversee the planning, organization, and execution of banquets, managing all logistical aspects to ensure events are set up correctly and service is delivered to the highest standards. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Event Organization and Management:
Manage catering services and short-term groups by anticipating their needs.
Organize logistics, oversee setup, and ensure the smooth execution of events in coordination with various hotel departments.
Customer Reception and Service:
Warmly and personally welcome guests, especially VIP clients.
Advise clients on dishes and wines, and respond to their inquiries to ensure their satisfaction.
Coordination and Follow-up:
Ensure proper coordination among different services to guarantee client satisfaction and service quality.
Operate, monitor, and bill private events in a timely manner, such as private dinners, wine tastings, barbecues, private parties, weddings, etc.
Quality, Cleanliness, and Hygiene:
Guarantee high-quality service by adhering to LQA standards and established procedures.
Ensure the cleanliness and good condition of public areas in the outlet, and comply with hygiene regulations according to local legislation.
Documentation and Control:
Prepare and distribute Banquet order forms and other required documents according to Belmond's Standards of Procedures.
Receive and check merchandise for various events (kakemonos, posters, stickers, etc.).
What You Bring:
A training in Hospitality and Catering, with a specialization in Catering.
Initial experience in a high-end hotel.
Reactivity, organization, and diplomacy.
Excellent presentation, communication, and body language.
Fluent in English is mandatory; any additional languages spoken will be appreciated.
