Job Overview for Domaine de Fondugues Pradugues - Sommelier
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team at Domaine Fondugues Pradugues. The Sommelier will enhance our guests’ wine experience, manage our wine cellar, and collaborate closely with the kitchen team to create exceptional wine pairings. This role requires deep knowledge of wine, strong customer service skills, and a dedication to promoting our biodynamic and organic wines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert wine service and recommendations to guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop wine pairings for seasonal menus.
• Manage the wine cellar, including inventory, and storage of wines.
• Educate staff and customers on wine offerings, including the philosophy behind biodynamic and organic wines.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with wine service standards.
• Support the sales of wines for take-away by offering personalized advice based on customer preferences.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the winery’s history, terroir, and production methods to share with guests.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Sommelier
• Strong knowledge of biodynamic and organic wines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and inspire staff in wine knowledge and service.
• Fluency in French and/or English is required.
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.

We pursue terroir driven red, white, and rosé wines, fermented with native yeast and finished with limited fining and filtering.
