HOSPITALITY ASSET MANAGERS ASSOCIATION (“HAMA”) ANNOUNCES 2025 BOARD OF DIRECTORS (États-Unis)

The Hospitality Asset Managers Association (“HAMA”) today announced its new board of directors for 2025. The board is comprised of 11 of the most seasoned and skilled asset managers in the hospitality investment industry, representing diverse backgrounds and ownership groups.

As the incoming president of HAMA, my focus is to continue to elevate the discipline of professional hospitality asset management globally, promote the importance of the Certified Hotel Asset Manager (“CHAM”) designation and leverage the collective strength of our members to add value, drive performance and enhance returns for hotel owners that are represented in HAMA. Our members comprise the most sophisticated and talented professionals in asset management,” Sorensen said.

HAMA provides a vital platform for asset management professionals to tap into the collective wisdom of the membership base and creates a concerted ‘voice’ for hotel owners on critical issues facing the industry. The power of the HAMA organization provides hotel owners unprecedented support for their lodging investments.”

Sorensen is the CEO of CHMWarnick, the leading provider of hotel asset management and advisory services for owners, investors and lenders, bringing over two decades of experience to his role of president of HAMA. He is Chair Emeritus of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (“ISHC”) and serves on numerous other preeminent hospitality industry boards of directors.

His commitment to advocating for the hospitality asset management discipline and teaching the future generations is second to none.

Sorensen is part-time professor and regular lecturer on real estate investment and asset management at some of the top universities in the United States. He is a staple as a speaker at leading hospitality conferences and has co-chaired three editions of the preeminent publication on capital spending in hotel real estate, ISHC CapEx: A Study of Capital Expenditures in the Hotel Industry.
